The Heddon Greta Speedway which opened in March 1959 was located just a few kilometres from here until it closed in 1976. A housing estate now occupies the site. This mural shows local rider Dennis Bristow, with his passenger Gary 'Red' Cullen in the side car. Both Dennis and Gary are long time residents of Heddon Greta and were the winners of the NSW Sidecar Championships in 1967. Some of the trophies and photographs of local identities may be viewed inside this shop.
