CrossCurrents: Stories of Water

Stynabyna

CrossCurrents: Stories of Water by Stynabyna | Street Art NSW

Created as part of the CrossCurrents: Stories of Water project, which explores cultural heritage and relationships to water through traditional art works. Several objects which thrive on, hold, or rely on water are pictured, as well other cultural artifacts. The story of water is accompanied by three energies: chaos, connection, and imagination. These are painted along the length of a water tank on the eastern edge of Marco Reserve.

It’s a work close to my heart that tells its own story of water, how we use it in our day to day, and how it’s perceived as a precious commodity on so many levels, in the past weaved through my family heritage and even in the present, in my day to day work, on work-sites (where access can be fickle).
