Stynabyna

Christina Huynh is a Western Sydney-based illustrator and muralist who works under the name STYNA or Stynabyna. After completing a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication at Western Sydney University in 2011, she began painting walls and illustrating professionally, going full-time in 2017. Working across pencil, watercolour, gouache, ink, acrylic and aerosol, her large-scale public murals have appeared across Greater Sydney and beyond, with commissions from local councils, Transport for NSW, the National Library of Australia, and major festivals including the Brisbane Street Art Festival.
Her work is rooted in storytelling, nature, and the heritage of people and place. Christina draws inspiration from the flora and fauna she encounters on weekly bushwalks, weaving environmental themes, cultural memory, and everyday emotion into each piece. She has contributed to some of Australia's most significant public art programs, including the Canal to Creek Public Art Program in 2020, and has illustrated several picture books, among them Grandma's Treasured Shoes by Coral Vass. In 2022 she was recognised at the Australian Street Art Awards for Best Entrance Art.
