The terrace house façade is transformed into an imaginary art gallery in homage to the history of Annadale.
Using the trompe l'oeil technique, the gallery wall features framed sepia images of archival photographs of early Annandale, including the imposing heritage-listed aqueduct, an engineering feat and marvel of its day. In the centre, a colour painting represents a modern-day scene of neighbourhood kids playing on the aqueduct. Archie, Lulu, and Alfie climb the aqueduct, while local resident Eloise pushes Wren on his trike and Renzo rides ahead on his bike. The dog Winnie gazes out.
The still functioning Annandale aqueduct can be seen extending over White's Creek, just across the wall.
The artist wishes to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land, the Gadigal people. Sadly, there are no photographs of Annandale prior to clearing and settlement, as the camera had not yet been invented.
