Across 30 metres along the side of Pokolbin Distillery are three threatened species of birds: the Regent Honeyeater, Swift Parrot and Pokolbin Mallee. The artwork draws attention to the conservation efforts of the Saving our Species program between the NSW Government and Hunter Local Land Services.
During the unveiling of the mural, the teams released 20 captive-bred Regent Honeyeaters back into the wild to help bolster their population.
