The Leap

The monochrome illustration The Leap is archetypal of the artist's style. Its reduced colour palette accentuates the adventurous and persistent nature of the younger generation, demonstrating the infinite possibilities of contemporary aesthetics. The artist is no stranger to 'cylinder art'; this time, challenging himself to constantly rotate the painted object whilst drawing to the structure of this painted graffiti column. The mythological Chimera is a common motif in his oeuvre; the seemingly lion-looking animal with a serpent’s tail appears to be deep in thought and is often associated with an illusion or mirage, initiating the idealised title The Leap in earnest.

The artwork represents a "Kidult": the limitless potential of the young generation as the future of modern society. The biomechanical beast is contrasted with a its arms surrounding a delicate flower. The floor around the cylindrical piece were also painted with extruding lines.
