Koori Art Mural

Les Elvin

Koori Art Mural by Les Elvin | Street Art NSW

This mural shows the nearby Sugarloaf Mountain range with the sun rising behind it. The tree has seen the changes in the land over the years and the dots above Wallis Creek depict the path that Aboriginal people travelled in their search for food. The totems shown on the rocks indicate the tribes of the area and the black and white figures signify reconciliation.

The students from the Barkuma Neighbourhood Centre who worked on the mural signed it in the traditional way with a handprint.
