Do You See What I See?

A vivid depiction of the rolling hills and peaks of the Lithgow Valley spread across two buildings on Cook Street Square. Along many flagcars are several Australian birds riding across the Zig Zag Railway tracks and viaducts which snake around the valley, led by a green steam train further up the mountain. There are also a pair of birds riding on handcars.

At the base of the artwork is a wide depiction of the Lithgow streetscape which sit below post boxes, as well as a couple of other Australian animals. A Hollywood-style signage reads Lithgow on the top-left of the work.

This mural is part of the Regenerating Lithgow Project - People, Place and Planet, led by Western Sydney University's Maldhan Ngurr Ngurra Lithgow Transformation Hub with curatorial partner Gang Gang Gallery. Funded under the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grants Program - an initiative of the Commonwealth National Recovery and Resilience Agency.
