The artwork is a celebration of the ocean around Newcastle, as well as mirroring a vintage artwork located within Civic Theatre. The artwork features several figures at the beach as references taken from a photoshoot, with varying textures layered upon one another to emulate a collage aesthetic. The artwork takes into respect the wall's colour and architecture, and though it it is a beach theme, there is no beach in the artwork and is instead reflected in the colour palette.
