Dawning

Dawning by Mik Shida | Street Art NSW

Several abstract figures in a geometric form and orbiting around each other, created as part of The Pillars Project. This mural explores an inner mythology where Dionysiac spirits dance on a higher plane.

Human spiritualties have always been derived from our understanding of the world. Animistic hunter-gatherers drew from animals and nature. Agriculturalists drew from the life and death cycle of the harvest. The great civilisations recorded the wandering stars and organised a hierarchy and mythology based on cosmic order.
Now comes a new age, where science has explained the universe and left us only the deep, infinite mystery of ourselves. From this, a new internal mythology arises: derived from our unconscious, embedded with instinctual archetypes and shared cloud consciousness, hunted by the spirits of our ancestors. A world where our souls are outwardly manifesting, created in our own image. A world where mind and body are God.
