Growing up in Annandale, I find profound inspiration in the intersection of personal memories intertwining with the area's transformation over time.
Immersed in a tapestry of memories, experiences and connections, the Abby, the Light rail and archways, the horse trots, the greyhounds, and the abundant community of dogs on the streets, the climbing community at NOMAD Bouldering Gym, the coffee shops at every corner and constant flow of pedestrians, every motif portrays the essence of a neighbourhood teeming with life, potential, resilience, and stories waiting to be told.
The artwork is an expression of gratitude to the place that nurtured my creativity. As the brush finally settles, I hope the artwork stands as a testament to the resilience of this community, forever embracing the nostalgia of the past while welcoming the winds of change that continue to shape Annandale's destiny through every resident and the next generations to come.
