Created with fundraising through the Australian Government's Stronger Communities programme, the artwork features three dominant scenes referencing the community. The luscious fields of the area reference the agriculture and natural landscape around Cressy. The salute to Australian soldiers brings a connection to the nearby ANZAC cenotaph, with the base adorned by poppies. The third highlights the trout fishing of the Central Highlands around the many rivers and creeks.
The work was created with the help of students from Cressy District High School, with involvement with the Cressy Bowls and Community Club president Diane Byard.
