Commissioned for the upgrade of Charles Heath Reserve, the artwork celebrates a progression of life in Canada Bay, and the influx of Italian migration as a result of a volcanic eruption. It shows a wealth of flowers between different scenes of life in the area.
The new work features a patchwork of colour and stories, inspired by the beautiful stained-glass windows of Aeolian churches. The string of images tells the story of Five Dock, its gardens, native plants, and culture, with each panel acting as a window into a different aspect of the community.
