Created over the course of February 2022 through to November 2022, which was heavily affected by flooding in the Northern New South Wales and South East Queensland region, the artwork forms part of a heritage trail which highlights the historic significance of Casino, Indigenous representation, and the natural surroundings of the Richmond River.
- The first segment completed before the severe flooding event features a Bundjalung woman wearing a basket from traditional practices using native branches such as bottlebrush, grevillea and gum leaves from the local environment.
- The next scene features a cattle farmer and his dog, against a breath-taking backdrop of the bush, lush sunflower fields and a reddened sky.
- The third features a platypus in its Richmond River habitat, thriving in the watery space, and
- The final scene features a black swan with its young, moving gracefully through the water.
The artwork was funded by a $125,000 grant from the Regional Tourism Bushfire Recovery program, an Australian Government initiative.
