Of Hope and Warmth Divided

Wedged in a particularly narrow alleyway between SPAR and the Babinda Taverna, this artwork features a giant whale depicted with bleached coral reef, highlighted through shapes for the design element.

Along the way I felt compelled to add more orange, contributing to more warmth overall in the artwork. Ecosystems are divided, and the coral and earth habitat suffers in turn. As humans we can change - considering humpbacks were dangerously close to extinction at one point, it's also hopeful to think there's a regrowth in their populations.
