Carol Ruff led a core group of artists to create this mural that marks a sense of place and identity for Aboriginal Redfern. The Rainbow Serpent curves throughout the length of the mural and presents the stories, struggles and histories of Aboriginal people. Sydney TAFE Eora College students and many volunteers also participated in the painting. Thirty-five years later, the mural was restored to its original excellence.
